Indicative Itinary
The pleasure is riding on trails where nothing is forbidden. No sign, just the GPS to discover the bush, its atmosphere, its heat, its colours. Stop-overs in the villages of another time, allow you to meet those warm smiles, live those special moments that usually are only experienced by backpackers. Plunge in Africa forever.

Au coeur du Senegal

Day 1 : Mbour – Wildlife Reserve Bandia – Saloum region (120km/4h)

After a meeting with your guide and explanation of your 4x4 driving, vehicle loading and then drive to the game reserve of BANDIA. Discovery of wildlife (zebras, warthogs, deers, antelopes, buffaloes ...).
After lunch, trail towards the Saloum estuary composed of vast mangroves who are birds paradise.
Ride after late afternoon in a canoe.
Overnight in a cottage at the water's edge.

Day 2 : Country Serer – Ferlo region (200km/5h)

Using the GPS by raising the tracks with a few stops in Serer villages, ethnic culture very attached to his animist. The trails meander through the bush and is a delight of discovery and fun to drive.
Then new landscapes, savannah bush is the Fulani territory their huge herds of Zebu will appear at meetings. The animals that disregard the 4X4 seek particular attention.
Arriving at the cottage of Koba. Ride after late afternoon to watch the milking of animals. Night at the cottage in the heart of the bush.

Day 3 : Great Coast – Lompoul Desert (220km/5h)

Up to Louga, large town in the bush. Then track to reach the slopes by rolling the beaches of the great coast, hundreds of miles of pristine beach!
Picnic by the sea. Then deflate the tire back on the desert of Lompoul. An explanation will be given to drivers to pass through the sand.
Arrival in the afternoon after the desert of Lompoul. Walking through the desert at sunset. Overnight in Mauritanian tents.

Day 4 : Road and trails to Lake Rose

Passage by the special Paris-Dakar Rally in the dunes along Lake Rose. Lunch at the Lake Road and then runs through the hills of Thies to join the small side.

This circuit is actually a Raid not a rally! The aim is to discover the bush and the farther one goes, the more caution is needed; cross a village slowly because children know little about the dangers caused by a 4X4. Animals can cross along the track: so caution!
A French driving license is sufficient (international driving license preferable in case of loss or problem on the road). For other nationalities, compulsory international license.
For security reasons during the picnic in the bush, no alcohol!
Fuel is included.
A guarantee is required for pilots. This deposit will be used in case of fault of the driver (scratch, burst tire ...) No bail for a mechanical problem, electrical, a flat tire ... It will not be considered as mistakes made by the driver and in no case problem resulting from the situation at the start of the 4X4. If the operator complies with the advice of the guide, there can’t be a problem!

On arrival, a team composed of a guide approved by the Ministry of Tourism and an engineer driver with extensive experience will be present to greet you.
From to 2 to 3 participants, accompanying the team will consist of a driver-guide.
Your tour leader will hold an information meeting on the progress and planning of your trip.

Exchange and Money
Only the CFA franc banknotes are accepted.
Possibility of making change with your guide or in big cities where you can withdraw money in banks with your credit cards.
The balance of the circuit can be done on site by credit card, French checks or in Euros.

Sunny and dry during the day from October to July and cool evening. The nights can be chilly at night at this time especially given the range of temperatures (35 ° to 18 °). Provide a light jacket or fleece.
Sunny and humid during the rainy period of August to September.

Indicative Itinerary
The route is designed to meet your needs of sharing authentic encounters with local people in areas outside of mass tourism.
The duration of the stages and progress can be modified to vary the tracks and meetings while maintaining the sites to visit.

Transportation is aboard 4X4 trucks specially designed for circuits with baggage, coolers for drinks and a water reserve with 2 showers.
From 2 to 7 participants, there are discovered 4x4 (pick up) but sheeted in the sun to be used.
Possibility of a private circuit from 6 people with no extra charge.
To discover the islands of Saloum, we will travel aboard motorized canoes. No rolling or wave while sailing on the river or arm of the sea.

Lodgings are in small structures inspired by the traditional ethnical architecture in the circuit to maintain a harmonious environment. In general, these are various forms of African huts thatched with fan and mosquito nets with private bathroom.
All boxes have a light and electrical outlets powered by a generator soundproofed to recharge your devices.
Although comfort is simple, special emphasis is placed on the quality of reception, hygiene and cleanliness.
The Lompoul desert, accommodation is in Mauritanian tents of 20 m² with private facilities located at 80m.

- Lompoul Cottage
Mauritanian tents of 20 m² with complete bedding. Each khaïma (tent), has for environmental reasons it’s own sanitary at a hundred meters.
A generator lights the restaurant tents and can charge the devices.

- Koba Cottage
Twenty African huts with private sanitary and running water in the heart of the Fulani pastoralists region. The lodge runs on a generator from dusk to midnight. Keep the oil lamps away from boxes to avoid the risk of fire, staff will provide you with a flashlight in each box.

- Simal Cottage
Fulani nomad huts along the Saloum with fan and interior sanitary. Lighting is supplied by a soundproof generator until midnight and beyond, by kerosene lamps. To avoid risk of fire, put the lamp away from boxes. You can swim in the Saloum but be careful about the current.

- Palmarin Lodge
18 ventilated bungalows with sanitary and rest room inside. The lodge is located between river and ocean, can bathe in the sea (huge wild beach). Generator from dusk until midnight after lighting will be with flashlights.

All means of transport (vehicles, boats, carriages) are current with their insurance in addition to a business C.R.
Accompanying staff has a mobile phone and the signal goes everywhere.
A first aid kit is on board vehicles for first aid and a GPS to locate the vehicle if needed.
In cases of extreme emergency, setting provision of a helicopter.

Meetings and sharing
The people you meet are very sensitive to the courtesy and politeness.
Therefore ask permission from people to photograph or videotape.
Take time to meet and understand and make connections.
If you have gifts to give, give to the oldest person in the village.
During the tour you will visit villages, bush schools, bush dispensaries where pens, notebooks, chalk, clothes and medicines for children are welcome. Ask your guide.

Prefer flexible bags of 20 Kg max type sports bag and a small backpack for the personal belongings of the day.
